When trying to use a network license, I receive the message:
Error checking out PRODUCT license.How can I resolve this?
License server does not support this product (-18)
A '-18' warning message normally indicates that the license being used is for the wrong product or only valid for a previous version (e.g. for versions up to 2.0 when you are using version 3.0). The most likely cause of this is a second license on your system that is taking priority.
Try the following:
- Search the PC for instances of *.lic
- Isolate licenses with names containing the word “activated” and / or the name of the product (e.g. RING or GEO).
- Delete all licenses except the one which you wish to use. Note that the files are plain text and can be read in Notepad.
